Dieter Mensch

Born 1951 near Hannover, Germany.Canadian citizen since 1963. Previously a student of kung fu and karate and present student of Wu Style tai chi chuan since 1985. Accepted as a disciple student of Sifu Eddie Wu Kwong Yu in July 2003.

I have always had a fascination with the human body first as an aesthetic appreciation but later also for its structure, movement and function, and how that relates to a person's health. Becoming a chiropractor has been a fabulous vehicle to investigate and explore the later goal from theoretical and practical perspectives.

I enjoy applying my academic training to the purpose of improving health and longevity, and, for persons already in relative good health, improving and optimizing athletic and aesthetic performance. Practicing tai chi gives me a first person insight to these matters.

I am particularly dedicated to Wu Style tai chi chuan for the profound treasures offered in the art. Wu Style tai chi encompasses an integrated blend of analysis and philosophy applied to martial technique, health and longevity improvement, and mental and spiritual discipline that is without equal.
