Justin began training Wu Style T'ai Chi Chuan under the Sifu Stephen Britt in 2003, and became his disciple in 2006. Demonstrating an aptitude for the art, he quickly became an assistant teacher for Sifu Britt and regularly taught classes under his direct supervision. Forever grateful for the lessons from his late sifu, Justin continues to honor his legacy while teaching at Wu's T'ai Chi Chuan Academy Detroit with his sisok, Sifu Michael Ashmore, and fellow disciples. Justin continues to learn and grow as a Wu Style practitioner under Sikung Eddie Wu Kwong Yu.
Justin has taught youth t'ai chi classes for Horizons-Upward Bound at Cranbrook Academy from 2013 to 2014, and lead seated Qi Gong classes for pulmonary patients and senior citizens at St. John's Macomb-Oakland Hospital. In addition to teaching Wu Style T'ai Chi Chuan, Justin teaches a variety of digital media arts classes, and specializes in filmmaking and video production. |
