Jason began training Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan under Sifu John Marchewitz, a 6th generation disciple, in January of 2014. Jason continues to train at Rochester Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan Institute under Sifu John Marchewitz and Wu’s Tai Chi Chuan Academy Detroit under Sifu Michael Ashmore.

Since 2015, Jason has attended the seminars led by Sikung Grand Master Eddie Wu Kwong Yu to improve his learning of Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan fundamentals.

In 2017, Jason toured Hong Kong visiting Wu’s Tai Chi Chuan Academy Headquarters and Singapore Jian Chuan Tai Chi Chuan Physical Culture Association joining students from many countries.

In 2019, Jason was privileged and honored to become a disciple of Sifu John Marchewitz during a ceremony presided over by Grand Master Eddie Wu Kwong Yu.

In 2024, Jason became certified as an Instructor of Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan by Grand Master Eddie Wu Kwong Yu. He is grateful to learn this art form that has been passed down from the teachings of the Wu family, and looks forward to continued training to improve his level and teaching.
