Diana Finch

In October 2004 I was invited to become one of the family when my Sifu, Grand Master Eddie Wu accepted me as a disciple. As the ceremony took place in Hong Kong, during a tour of China, Hong Kong and Macau, which Sifu lead, the occasion was especially momentous for me. Our team participated successfully in the First World Traditional Wushu Festival in Zheng Zhou, China.

My Tai Chi journey started in 2001 when I was introduced to the form by a club member, who was teaching in Caledon, west of Toronto. The health and wellbeing aspects of practicing soon became clear and I began a weekly trek to the Toronto academy. In practicing Tai Chi I found new confidence and self awareness, as well as a continuing sense of wellbeing. I am interested in the study of Chi Kung, the health and spiritual aspects of Tai Chi and also in the weapons forms. Outside of the studio, I worked for Variety -The Children's Charity (Variety Village) as Director of Finance; in my spare time I play the flute, and continue the long process of renovating a grand old 1868 house in Trenton, Ontario.
