Chief Instructor's Bio:
Peng You Lian started his Tai Ji training as a teenager. From 1981 to 1985, he studied in Faculty of Physical Education of Beijing Normal University (Beijing, P.R. China). He received his Bachelor's Degree in 1985 and Master's Degree in 1989. During his university years, he was trained by numerous Martial Arts masters and professors.
Peng You Lian came to Canada in 1990. He formed the Peng You Tai Ji Quan Association with the motto "Health, Friendship, Happiness" soon after. He began to study Wu School Tai Ji under Master Eddy Wu in 1997.
In 2001, Peng You Lian won the Gold Medal for Tai Ji Quan at the Wushu Championship; the first prize for Tai Ji Sword at the First World Tai Ji and Health Conference in China. He was also the grand Champion at the Thunder Bay Martial Arts Open, 2003.
Peng You Lian attended the World Tai Ji Forum hosted by South China Normal University (Guang Zhou, P.R. China) in December 2003 as a guest speaker and representative of Canadian Tai Ji.
