I first learnt about Tai Chi from, Alvin Chan a university mate of mine whose father, Master Chan Cheong Lap is an experienced practitioner in Hong Kong. I later met Master Chan in 1993 who gave me my first demonstration of Wu Style Tai Chi. I was practicing other forms of martial arts then and was amazed by Master Chan's ability to counter my moves. I made up my mind to learn Tai Chi when I had a chance. It wasn't till 2000 that I discovered that my office colleague, Aldrin Ow's father, Master Ow Tuck Seng had been teaching Tai Chi for over 40 years. I enrolled immediately and learned under Master Ng Say Tiong and later with Master Ow himself. I eventually had the opportunity to become a disciple of Master Wu Tai Sin in 2002. |
