I began studying Wu’s Tai Chi Chuan, under Sifu John Marchewitz, in 2007 at the advise of my Chinese General Practitioner for the health benefits it provides. Since then, I have seen significant improvement in circulation, posture, and balance. In 2015, I also began attending Sifu Marchewitz’ classes specifically for seniors with the goal of teaching Tai Chi Chuan to seniors in a safe manner. In 2016, I retired from an analyst position at IBM and became a disciple of Sifu Marchewitz in a ceremony at the Ferndale Academy presided over by Grandmaster Eddie Wu Kwong Yu. I have had the privilege of also being taught by Sifu Michael Ashmore and Sifu Genie Parker and attending seminars by Grandmaster Eddie Wu Kwong Yu. My goal is to continue advancement in my training and to safely teach Tai Chi Chuan in my classes. Other Interests: analyzing technology trends, gardening, playing backgammon. |
